John Markoff
John Markoff is Distinguished University Professor at the University of Pittsburgh. His work has received scholarly prizes and has appeared in leading journal of history, sociology, and politicals science. His books include The Abolition of Feudalism: Peasants, Lords, and Legislators in the French Revolution, Revolutionary Demands: A Content Analysis of the Cahiers de Doléances of 1789 (with Gilbert Shapiro), Economistas en las Américas (with Verónica Montecinos), and Social Movements and World-System Transformation (with Jackie Smith, Michael Goodhart, and Patrick Manning).
